Jacksonville singer/songwriter Jeff Davidsmeyer will be featured on a PBS program Friday and Sunday.

The show also features singer/songwriter Ken Carlyle of Rushville. Davidsmeyer and Carlyle will talk about how they write and what inspires them. They also will perform some of their music.

“After about a 10-minute interview, I tell a story about one of my songs, ‘Till the End of Time,’ and then my wife, Teresa, and I perform a song from my new CD, ‘Takin’ Our Time,’” Davidsmeyer said.

The State of the Arts program, funded by the Illinois Arts Council, airs at 7:30 p.m. Friday and at noon and 10:30 p.m. Sunday on WSEC.

Davidsmeyer’s new compact disc is available at All Occasions and Revolution Records in Jacksonville and Samuel Music in Springfield. It also is available on cdbaby.com, iTunes and Amazon.com.
